Workshops for 2019 @ Chris' Hale
Haumana are expected to attend workshops, unless you have prior engagement. Please make sure you let us know your plans for attendance by signing-up here if you have not done so already. There are three tabs so please make sure sure click on all of them.
June 9 - Ipu Heke’ole (will need for upcoming hula)
Limit 20 ipu - Currently 1 left (5/19)
$35 (includes papa fee, supplies)
NYBG participants price: $25 as a mahalo
Haumana will need to clean ipu prior to workshop. For instructions on how to clean, please watch this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2BtKuoxv4o
List of tools needed. Tools will provided, but are limited. Getting your own as will help speed process so less people will have to share.
Second workshop date TBD. There are currently 6 people attending. We will decide on a date and place where EVERYONE can attend.
June 16 - Costume Making & Make-Up Tutorial

Haumana will be provided with list of suggested make-up to purchase/bring.

June 23 - Haku Lei
Bring your own flowers - list of appropriate flowers/foliage will be provided

Attire - comfortable, bring your own non-alcoholic drinks, food to share for at least 4 people.
All groups will dance a couple of hula or more. Please be prepared to dance TBD. You must have ho'ike in order to perform the dance. Please plan in advance.

Saturday, August 17 - Pacific Fun Day - BALTIMORE PERFORMANCE

Departure Friday evening and staying in hotel over night
Event day Saturday - then leave for NYC
Tristan may leave late Friday evening after work 9pm and take bus
Tristan will lead carpool coordination
Huaka'i 2019
Kumu Nate has agreed to support us

Will learn a hula noho with ipu heke'ole and haumana will chant mele
