Na Alaka`i

New York City

Tristan (left), a self-proclaimed hulaholic, started to dance after visiting Hawaii several years ago. He enjoys being a part of a cultural practice that has a rich history that continues to move forward. He hopes to support the perpetuation of hula and Hawaiian culture in New York as best as he can with the knowledge passed onto him by Kumu Kale Pawai.

Christopher (right) has danced hula for quite some time and enjoys the spirituality of hula and the Hawaiian culture. He studied with Kumu Kale in Kalihi, Hawaii, before his return to New York City, and is looking to create a place in the east coast where others can also experience a beautiful art form and practice.
